I’m trying to connect my laptop to my HDTV using a m/m VGA cable.When I set it to use only the TV as a monitor it will be good for about a minute and then it will stop displaying to the TV (as if it’s not hooked up to the TV) and switch back to the PC, then like 2 seconds later it will switch back to the TV; It will keep doing this over and over every minute. When I try extending or mirroring the desktop it does the same thing except more frequently (like every 10 seconds). The time frame between it shifting on and off is consistent so i don’t think its a loose or faulty cable. Anyone got answers?

Try replacing your VGA cable. It may be faulty.
